I’m Daniel Tomei, a Chicago-based photographer with 20 years of experience. I photograph executives, physicians, performers, and young talent, with clear direction that helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

How do I book, and how far ahead should I get in touch?
Send your preferred dates, the number of people, and where you plan to use the portraits. I’ll confirm availability and recommend a session scope. For larger teams or multiple locations, getting in touch early gives us more room to coordinate schedules.
I’m not comfortable in front of a camera. Can you help?
Yes. You do not need modeling experience. I guide your posture and expression, make small adjustments, and give clear feedback as we go. Conversation and a comfortable pace are part of the session.
Can you come to our office and match our existing headshots?
Yes. I can bring professional lighting to your location and review your existing portraits and brand guidelines in advance. We plan the background, lighting, framing, and edit so the new photographs fit your collection.
What should I wear?
Choose clothing that feels like you and suits the role or audience the portrait is for. Bring a few options if your session allows for different looks. We can discuss colors, backgrounds, and any company or casting requirements before the shoot.
Are retouching and finished images included?
Individual sessions include 3–5 final edited images. Team projects have an agreed image count and retouching scope. We discuss the level of finishing and any additional image needs before the session.
When will I receive the photographs?
Typical headshot and corporate photography delivery is 24–48 hours, with timing confirmed around the size of the shoot, selection process, and retouching requirements. If you have a fixed deadline, mention it when you get in touch.
Do you photograph children and young performers?
Yes. I photograph young talent for acting, modeling, and casting portfolios. The session uses patient direction and a pace suited to the child, with time to settle in and create natural expressions.
Can we combine headshots with other photography?
